Simple, Low Cost Improvements to Prepare Your Home For Sale
Fresh paint makes for a fresh and clean impression and when it comes to paint color, go neutral. Use different variations of the same paint color throughout the home. When stained or natural woodwork is not part of the charm of the home, consider painting it white. This alone can go a long way to brightening and updating a room.
Concentrate on big impact rooms. Kitchens and bathrooms garner much of the attention of prospective buyers. Replacing a vanity, swapping out light fixtures, replacing gold faucets with brushed nickel, or changing out cabinetry hardware can make a big difference. Buyers love pull-out shelves in a kitchen and oftentimes they can be added fairly easily to most cabinets. Have ceramic grout freshened professionally or find grout paint at the hardware store.
